I had my first professional sale with The Last Rose of Summer. It was in six parts and although it was made on a shoestring, it was syndicated around most of the commercial stations in the UK. As well as spawning two sequels, it gave me my first break into print with a novelisation of the scripts from Corgi Books. This was later republished as Dying of Paradise by Sphere, who followed it with a novelisation of Hunters' Moon under the title The Ice Belt.
